Andrea Santagata

Andrea Santagata has been Managing Director of Mondadori Digital S.p.A. since January 2026.
He also served as Group Chief Innovation Officer at the Mondadori Group since February 2019, and has been Head of the IT Systems Division since May 2021.

Born in Pisa in 1972, he graduated with honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pisa. He began his career in the internet and digital sector in in 1999, at Libero.it.  Between 2001 and 2007, he worked at Matrix S.p.A., serving as Marketing Director for Virgilio from 2004 to 2007. During this period, he founded Splinder, Italy’s first blogging platform, as well as the start-ups Liquida and Sitonline.
In 2007, he joined the Banzai Group as Chief Executive Officer of Banzai Media, a company later acquired by the Mondadori Group in 2016. From 2020, he served as General Manager of Mondadori Media S.p.A., becoming CEO for the Digital and MarTech division in 2023.

Santagata is also Chairman of Fatto in Casa da Benedetta and AdKaora, and serves on the boards of Ad Cube, Onetag, and Audicom.
