From 12 October 2023, the Mondadori Bookstore in Andria in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani (BT) will change location within the same city in order to renew its space and offerings and give it a complete makeover.

The new 220-square-metre bookstore boasts a layout and furnishings that enhance Mondadori Store’s wide range of offerings, which focus on books and services that meet customers’ needs, thanks also to new reading experiences and a calendar full of events.

To kick off the season of events, the Mondadori Bookstore in Andria on 16 October will host the author who has sold 15 million copies, Jeffery Deaver, who will meet readers to present his latest book, “Hunting Season (Tempo di caccia)”, published by Rizzoli.

The bookstore reopens just a stone’s throw away from the old premises, in a pedestrian area bustling with important businesses. With its 25,000 titles – from best sellers to the great classics, including fiction, non-fiction and miscellaneous – and a wide assortment of new music, K-POP, stationery, gadgets, gift boxes and gift cards, the bookshop is a hub for the local community. The Mondadori Bookstore in Andria also boasts an area designed specifically for young readers: “We are Junior“, a completely new department where even the youngest children can find a rich offering of educational games and picture books. The store also houses an extensive selection of comics in the “Just Comics” section, with manga, superhero comics and graphic novels.

“I’m happy to carry on the project of my father, who opened his first independent bookstore in 1972,” said Mondadori Store franchisee Giovanni D’Avanzo. “Since 2010, I’ve felt the need to reorganise the bookstore in a more modern way. On Monday 18 August, Mondadori Store, the largest network of bookstores in Italy, opened a new bookstore in La Torre Shopping Centre in Palermo, with the aim of becoming a cultural reference point for customers and residents in the area.

The bookstore covers an area of 110 square metres on one floor. The new opening will expand the already extensive Mondadori Store network in the area, making a new hub dedicated to the world of books, culture and entertainment available to the public.

Thursday, 14 September, Mondadori Store, the largest network of bookstores in Italy, will open a new bookstore in Rome in the heart of the residential neighbourhood of Via Salaria 54. To celebrate the occasion, starting at 6 pm, Marcello Veneziani – journalist and author of numerous essays on philosophy and political culture – will be there to meet readers and sign copies of his book “Vico dei miracoli”,’published by Rizzoli.

The new Mondadori Bookstore covers an area of 140 square metres spread over two floors and three storefronts located on the ground floor. The new opening will expand the already extensive Mondadori Store network in the area, making a new hub dedicated to the world of books, culture and entertainment available to the public.

This is the first opening of journalist Giulia Di Martino’s Mondadori Store affiliate, fulfilling a lifelong dream of hers. “For personal reasons, I moved to Rome from Sicily, where I worked for a local TV station. However, this unexpected change in my life has allowed me to focus on the dream I’ve had since I was a child: to have my own bookstore that could become a meeting place for all the inhabitants of the area, especially the many families that populate the neighbourhood, and to stand as a real cultural hub for the area,” said Giulia di Martino.

On Wednesday, 2 August, Mondadori Store, the largest network of bookstores in Italy, will open a new bookstore in the Scauri district of the municipality of Minturno (Latina), a well-known seaside resort on the Lazio coast.

The new Mondadori Bookstore covers an area of 120 square meters at 19 Via Italo Balbo, a strategic point between the waterfront and the local high street with its busy shops. The new opening will expand the already extensive network of Mondadori Stores in the area, creating a new public centre for books, culture and entertainment.

MONDADORI BOOKSTORE IMA, the new format of contemporary bookstores that favours the Japanese-inspired atmosphere, doubles stores in Piedmont: after the opening in January 2022 of the brand’s flagship store in Turin, inside the Officine S shopping centre, on 16 June a new store will officially open in Gravellona Toce, at the Le Isole shopping centre.

Built on an area of about 200 square metres on a single level, the bookstore aims to be a space where culture and respect for nature blend harmoniously to offer visitors a totally new cultural and shopping experience that is at the same time food and rest for the mind.
