The centenary of Italo Calvino’s birth continues with two exhibitions in Rome and Genoa.

“Favoloso Calvino. Il mondo come opera d’arte. Carpaccio, de Chirico, Gnoli, Melotti e gli altri”: the major exhibition in Rome, curated by Mario Barenghi, will remain open until Feb. 4, 2024 at the Scuderie del Quirinale. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a visual journey that, with more than 400 works, offers a closer look at the life and literary production of one of the leading figures of twentieth-century literature. The exhibition is organised by the Scuderie del Quirinale in collaboration with Electa editore.

At the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, “Calvino Cantafavole”, an exhibition curated by Eloisa Morra and Luca Scarlini, opens at Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, in the spaces of the Loggia degli Abati. The Genoese exhibition is a tribute to Calvino’s relationship with the world of fairy tales and will remain open until April 7, 2024. Supported by the Liguria Region, the City of Genoa and the Palazzo Ducale Foundation, the exhibition is organised by Electa editore in collaboration with the Scuderie del Quirinale.

The exhibition will be accompanied by many new publications, from the catalogues of the exhibitions to new titles dedicated to the world of Italo Calvino.
