The Wom: a special award from Assolombarda

In March 2025, we received the Special Advisory Board Award Assolombarda per il Sociale at the third edition of the Assolombarda Awards. The recognition was presented to the Mondadori Group for the social value and impact of The Wom, our digital magazine that has become a benchmark for younger generations. The award acknowledges the quality and consistency of our actions in promoting opportunity and intergenerational dialogue. The Wom has distinguished itself in promoting a culture based on authenticity, acceptance and inclusive dialogue. In particular, recognition was given to the approach adopted for the event The Womderful Inclusive Fashion Show by Benedetta De Luca, held during Milan Fashion Week, which offered a tangible opportunity to celebrate uniqueness beyond labels.

“Beliefs and microaggressions”

We promote an inclusive culture through training and awareness programmes open to all our people. These initiatives reflect our commitment to exploring social sustainability in depth and to providing practical tools for recognising and overcoming cultural barriers in the workplace. As part of this journey, we hosted the webinar “Beliefs and microaggressions: between bias and artificial intelligence”. The session examined the conditioning factors that influence professional relationships and the impact of cognitive biases. The topic was explored through a multidisciplinary perspective, enriched by contributions from leading experts.

With this in mind, we have partnered with Mindwork to offer an online psychological support service that is anonymous and confidential, allowing individuals to look after their wellbeing through consultation with a qualified team of psychologists. The initiative provides a practical tool to support personal and professional wellbeing at every stage of life.

Supporting those who care for loved ones

In partnership with the association Atelier della Mente, we have launched a support service for employees caring for relatives with suspected cognitive decline. Through a personalised guidance pathway, colleagues can access information and support aimed at improving the quality of life of the entire family unit. This initiative forms part of the Mondadori Care project, a suite of services designed to support our people in caring for themselves and their loved ones.

Global Inclusion 2025 and Human Rights Policy

We took part in the Global Inclusion 2025 event organised by Il Sole 24 Ore, a forum dedicated to dialogue around equity and the promotion of diversity within organisations. On that occasion, Francesca Rigolio, Chief Sustainability Officer, presented the Group’s new Human Rights Policy, a document that formalises our commitment to respecting every individual in all their diversity. The adoption of this Policy represents a concrete act of responsibility and defines the principles guiding both our operations and those of our external stakeholders, with the aim of preventing discrimination and actively promoting inclusion across all areas of activity.

On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, our Group promoted an awareness initiative featuring an artistic installation of 100 red chairs along the central walkway of Palazzo Niemeyer. The initiative is reflected in both the content and the study and teaching methodologies promoted by the publishing house. Validated by a scientific committee of sector experts, the project draws on core principles set out in the publisher’s Manifesto to promote a culture of inclusion.
