Mondadori enters the radio market with the acquisition of Italy’s largest commercial broadcaster, Radio 101 One-O-One, a national network with a 30-year history of success.

The re-launch of the station begins in 2005 with the renewal of the music format, a new lineup of programs and the expansion of the channel to cover all of Italy. This led to significant growth in the numbers of listeners making R101 within a few years the most popular broadcaster in the country.
