Mondadori Store, the most extensive network of bookshops in Italy, has opened a new store in Sicily, in Bagheria (PA), offering the local community a space dedicated to books and entertainment. The event was attended by the Mayor, the Councillor for Culture and headmasters from local schools for the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The new Mondadori Bookstore covers 140 square metres and features a modern layout with areas dedicated to different literary genres. Visitors are welcomed by a team of booksellers and a catalogue of around 9,000 titles, from great classics to bestsellers, spanning fiction, non-fiction and international works.

“We are delighted to join the Mondadori Store family and to bring this important project to Bagheria, a city we love and value both as entrepreneurs and as citizens,” said Gioia Piazza, Mondadori Store franchisee. “Our aim is to create a new cultural space dedicated to books and entertainment, capable of fostering a genuine passion for reading,” she added.

Bagheria’s Mondadori Bookstore stocks all the latest releases and features dedicated themed areas designed to suit every reader’s tastes, including We are Junior,, a space for younger readers with educational games and illustrated books to spark their imagination; Just Comics, dedicated to the world of manga and graphic novels; My New Romance, a new concept for fans of romance, one of today’s most popular literary genres; as well as a wide selection of stationery, toys, gadgets and gift cards.

The Mondadori Bookstore in Bagheria also serves readers online. Customers can keep up to date via its Instagram and Facebook pages, and can contact the bookshop through the digital services on  Mondadoristore.it to check availability, place orders, collect in store or arrange home delivery.  Services also include Zeercle, which allows customers to sell books, CDs, vinyl records, physical video games, DVDs and Blu-ray discs in exchange for a gift card equivalent to the assessed value, redeemable in store and on mondadoristore.it
