What if the concept of ‘reusable empties’ could be applied to books? The project of Claudia Tamburro, Rights and Acquisition Specialist at Giulio Einaudi editore, which led to the Nudge Global Impact Challenge, is “Book returns”, an entirely green idea to give a second life to the books on our shelves at home.

Chiara Righetti, executive assistant and project coordinator at Mondadori Retail, is one of three participants in the latest edition of the Nudge Global Impact Challenge. The international programme, which involves young people from all over the world, aims to train future leaders in the field of sustainability and guide them towards implementing business models that are increasingly in line with these issues.

With her project “Idee in circolo”, Chiara wants to bring young people closer to reading and sustainability issues through a series of events dedicated to them in our bookshops, focusing on creativity and fun.

On Monday 18 September, in the sumptuous Reggia di Colorno (PR), the 10 finalists of the first edition of “Become a food creator” competition challenged each other in front of a jury composed of representatives from ALMA and Giallozafferano.
🏆 The winners were Jacopo Lanci and Elena Zeng, who tied for first place.

The competition was born from the partnership between Scuola Internazionale di Cucina italiana and our food media brand, with the aim of discovering new chefs capable of communicating cuisine in an innovative way, while respecting the great Italian tradition.

Participants in the initiative were judged not only on the culinary aspect of their recipes, but also on their communication skills. The chefs were asked to create a video reel and a photo to narrate the recipe and showc the dish on social media.

Store managers from all over Italy came to Palazzo Mondadori for a day of meetings and training dedicated exclusively to them.
It was an important opportunity for everyone to share experiences, exchange views with colleagues and take part in some training sessions. Among the guests who attended the event there were our authors Paolo Borzacchiello and Matteo Bussola.
Carmine Perna, Managing Director of Mondadori Retail, opened the day with a welcome speech, followed by a presentation of data regarding the Italian book market and speeches by some Mondadori Store colleagues, including Mauro Magrì, Director of Sales and Development for Direct Bookstores.

Maturità 2023 is just around the corner, and Studenti.it has asked almost 6,000 students to predict the authors and themes they expect to find in the next exam.
Manzoni, Calvino and D’Annunzio are at the top of the list. But there will also be a topic on artificial intelligence and ChatGPT, according to 76% of respondents. The most popular track type is Type B, the argumentative essay.
All the results of the survey can be found here: https://www.gruppomondadori.it/…/studenti-it-totoesame…

What is parenthood for #NoiDellaMondadori?
Our new manifesto describes it as:
– a social multiplier of well-being
– a shared responsibility
– an opportunity for growth
– a challenge to reconcile personal and professional fulfilment
– a caring relationship free of stereotypes
– a free choice

We believe that parenthood is a social asset that should be valued, supported and encouraged. That is why we are committed to listening to and responding to the needs of everyone who chooses to have children, by launching a project and tools that enable our employees to reconcile their personal and professional aspirations. We are making this change to free parents from gender stereotypes and allow them to experience the birth and growth of their children with peace of mind.
